Hi there, I’m Zelné

Born and raised in South Africa, I grew up surrounded by creativity. From a young age, my mom encouraged me to draw, explore, and express myself through visual projects. That early support shaped how I see the world and continues to influence how I approach challenges.
After high school, I worked in several people-focused roles, including a year as a legal assistant and two years as an au pair in the U.S. These experiences taught me to communicate clearly, listen with empathy, and adapt quickly, skills that remain central to my process today.
When I decided to fully commit to a creative career, I began in interior design, earning my certification and working at Havenly. There, I managed multiple client projects from concept to completion. I learned to present ideas effectively, navigate stakeholder timelines, and solve real-world problems through design thinking.
But what I enjoyed most wasn’t the spatial layouts or sourcing; it was the digital side of the work: building systems, shaping visual stories, and designing with the user in mind. That realization led me to pivot into multimedia design, where I could combine strategic thinking with creativity to craft clear, engaging digital solutions.
Graduating with a BA in Multimedia Design at the end of 2025, I’m eager to step into a digital design role where I can keep growing while contributing meaningfully to a team, helping companies connect with their audiences through thoughtful, human-centred work.
My goal is always to design with intention: creating experiences that are intuitive, effective, and genuinely helpful.
